Below is several sketches i have created after i found out some precedent images. what i want to create, by the precedent images inspire me that i could make a model (sphere or box shape or irregular figure) with the organic texture or organic shape on it. It will make the model become more complex, this is the idea i have found out from the shapeways.com
i remembered other courses also want to us focus on the "algorithmic" so in my precedent images i also check out several images link to this idea.
Next class (tomorrow), i hope i could have more ideas about what i will have to do in the 3d application

"Biology has played a role in architecture ever since we decided to build primitive shelters. More recently though the word “Bio” has been lost through an obsession with suggestive organic shapes. When we talk about biomimicry in architecture- phrases such as biomorphic and organic spring to mind. Whilst there can be a connection between these, they are inherently different. The important distinction to be made between ‘biomimicry’ and ‘biomorphism’ is the former uses nature as a source for original/unconventional forms; the latter engages with the way nature functions." via Ghaui |
